ESPN Satellite Question/Oddity
« on: December 10, 2011, 11:46:43 AM »

Back in August, I recorded an aircheck of 1150 WEAQ in Eau Claire, WI. Today I started listening, and the first half hour IDs and has local spots for 1450 WQKC of Louisville, KY, with Dan Patrick. At 8:06 AM the feed abruptly stops and WEAQ's programming starts, right into Mike & Mike. The stations are both ESPN, but owned by different companies. I can't say I'm shocked, considering all the automation that goes on nowadays, yet this seems over the top. Do some satellite networks now originate everything, even the local IDs and promos, from the bird?
