Ronnie Dunn

If a Facebook post can kill Let The Cowboy Rock, where was FB when that morbidly depressing piece of garbage "Cost Of Living ($4 a Gallon)" was out. I hated that song from play one.

When I started in radio in 1967, most broadcast equipment used tube technology, all recorded music was played from records on a turntable by live DJ's, there was no satellite delivery...and radio was fun.

Read it on the Taylor On Radio-Info Newsletter this morning:

Interesting.  He performed "How Far To Waco" last night on Jimmy Falon.  Complete with the horns.  Is that the next single?

Who knows what the next single will be....if there is one. There is an overwhelming request for "Once" by the fans on his Facebook page but one of the songwriters have enlisted her friends to promote it. My choice would be Waco, but what do I know! He hasn't heard from the label since he got his hand slapped for the post that supposedly killed Let the Cowboy Rock.

The same label is also busy promoting the new single by Kix Brooks.

Wow, that's pretty harsh. Is it too real for you? It's one of my favorite tracks on the album.

BigA, yes, you're right. This is Kix Brooks' first post B&D solo single. They're also Carrie Underwood's label and she just came out with an album after some time off. Ronnie Dunn is not their top priority at the moment.

I personally never cared for Brooks and Dunn, that's just me,hey, they sold a kajillion records....now I suppose I care half as much for them individually.

I did actually like "My Maria"

regarding brooks and dunn comment above:  "neon moon" actually seemed like a winner in my book.  good pure country production, songwriting, and singin'.  ...and was actually a hit single release and not some great deep album track no one knows about.
