Must be a Pahrump area station & transmitter. Repeater? Anybody know where parent station is? Used to be Christian, now retro Country.

Actually the translator originally simulcast 95.1 KNYE (Pahrump, NV) for about two years, then it went christian music/talk for about a year.  Then, it simulcast country formatted -- KHWG am 790, then for a short period earlier this summer switched to simulcast one of the jelli stations.  Then, the simulcast with jelli stopped and they went back to simulcasting country KHWG, around the mid-to end of August. KHWG is located in central Nevada (Tonopah???).  I heard on one of the promos where they were proudly proclaiming that they are the only station covering the entire state of Nevada. The translator, I believe is on one of the peaks, when you head toward Pahrump.  Perhaps somebody else knows more details. Undecided

KHWG-FM is 100.1 licensed to Crystal NV...its on Mt Shader just north of Johnnie and the Johnnie mine on the AZ-NV tower company's site (next to Verizon site).  Can be seen from parts of Pahrump and much of Rt 95 from just past Beatty (with bin) to the rt160 - 95 junction.  It is a directional Class C3.  It is very old Classic country....same format as sister KHWG 750 AM Fallon but no longer a simulcast.  The translator is likely off air.
