I really dont think these people have a clue how to run a radio station. I personally believe that if they ever pull this off that their protesting or programming would be extremely offensive to the masses in SD. You know they can always broker time with KCBQ too they love money and will do anything for it just listen to the Sunday night shows!

If you've ever listened to anything Pacifica... I'm somewhat liberal, but those guys make me cringe.

Agreed that money would be better spent brokering time than filing for a rimshot NCE that would never make it into the city. You'd get on the air a lot faster, too.

Are these the same idiots that were pirating FRSD a few years ago?  Bob Ugly and his crew?

I think that would be the case too, but I'm not sure who was actually caught, shut down and fined.  That group was very secretive about their identities and the FCC could only cite whomever was at the raided transmitter location (also an assumption).  That would leave the rest of the players free to go forward with faulty applications to their heart's content.

Hummmmmm with sort of logic I guess I need to acquire a transmitter. Seems like the reverse of the right way. Go on the air then get a license. Ok I can handle that. That's the Jaime Bonilla way too isnt it Radeoengineer?

His way is closer to get a license and then proceed to break every rule.

Hey I will even run EAS and legal IDs...and even PSA's on my pirate station. I will be the most legal, illegal station in the country! Oh and I will maintain a public file LOL

The bottom line is that there needs to be an alternative voice here in this town. Be it legal or not, I'm all for whatever method they use.
