Everyone wants to be the first to flip to all xmas but no one wants to flip too early.  Once someone flips the switch the dominoes will all fall down.

Coast 93.3 and Lite Mix 99.9 are no brianers.  Probably safe to add WMEZ 94.1 to the short list.  I'm wondering if Jack 104.1 might go Xmas this year... after Xmas they could debut a new format or just stop paying to use the "Jack" name and image their own adult/classic hits station (like maybe "Gulf 104"... Cumulus already owns this perfect name for a Mobile/Pensacola/Gulf Coast radio station on 104.1 and they have all the station IDs and such available to copy from Tallahassee..)  This would give their new "Journey 100.7" a chance to show it's worth without competition from inside it's own cluster.

107.3 has a history of doing Xmas, but the current NOW CHR format is so new that more than a few days of Xmas music would signal a quick format change.  Could Now become the shortest lived format in the market?

Highway 98.1 hasn't burned itself out yet and probably won't ever under Qantum.  Country should have been on that signal for the past two decades.  The country over saturation in Fort Walton is caused by the "sleeping giant" 104.7 and the powerful out-of-market stations booming into the area.  Just a little problem that won't go away anytime soon.  I think its safe to assume that 104.7 will be sold one day in the distant future.  If it winds up under the same ownership as Highway 98 or Country 105.5 then we should see a new format.

I'm more interested in what new formats may appear after Christmas than who flips to a temporary Christmas music format.  I know 99 Rock and The Rocket will keep on rocking through the holidays so I won't have to deal with any xmas music except a few songs thrown in on WAAZ.  I could really care less about the rest of the FM dial in Pensacola at this point.  Just waiting for those new translators to get on the air to see if they have any affect on my radio.

Someone in an ownership position at 92 Zew needs to figure out how to get a signal into Pensacola.  The lack of quality rock is killing me and I still refuse to pay for satellite radio or learn to listen to radio on my cell phone (even though my car radio is wired to hook up a cell phone... I'm not "smart" enough to do that and I suspect I'd have to pay a ton for bandwidth to listen to KEXP or WSOU).  It's been so long since I was exposed to new music that I'm getting tired of my CD collection.  I don't care for the iTunes concept.  I guess I'm screwed.  Good thing I can pick up all the AM talk radio stations here.

Already hearing 97.3 "your favourite holiday music station" sounds like it might be Clear Channel. Couldn't ID it. This early in the season, heard them playing "Linus and Lucy" before fade out.

If you are in the North Florida, Tallahassee area, the 97.3 you are hearing is Clear Channel station WGEX Bainbridge (Albany), Georgia.

Yep 97.3 Albany is doing x-mas music right now. Are they going to stay Gen-X Radio after the hoildays or make another flip? Nothing going on @ Tallahassee's WGMY's 107.1 Hit Music Now as long they have my morining show Elivs Duran im okay.  Cheesy

This is very sad, all voice tracked all very general. Listening to 97.3 now and heard some automated female announcer announce the tracks probably from CC's Texas HQ.

If 97.3 Bainbridge has already flipped to Xmas I think that signals Santa bringing a new format.

I just noticed that Lite Mix is on the iHeart Radio feed at nights. Maybe there are so more feeds during the day..? Are layoffs being happened in the Mobile/Pensacola market too? Wow. I think they should tweak the format to Classic Hits as The "Gulf 100" - The Greatest Classic Hits for the Gulf Coast. I mean, what's not better than listening to Van Morrison, Rolling Stones, etc during the summertime. Clear Channel made a HUGE mistake and I hope they see this in flipping 107.3 to a format that sucked a year later. Haha, it's funny to wonder what goes in those minds that decides what station is doing well and what station should flip the switch.

94.1 is a Pure AC station. WABB should tweak more of it's playlist to Hot-AC. Too bad their nighttime jock left. Someone needs to buy them. Cumulus, are you hearing this?

Anyways, 99.9 will go X-Mas but I have a feeling they will tweak their format on a fresh new day of the week, December 26th, 2011 to Classic Hits.  107.3 will be on the air until they get a good realization of how poorly their "new" format is. But the question is, Rob-42 you like asking this too...what format void does it need to be replaced? Polka? Nah, I am just messing. Heck, it kinda will make sense to bring WNTM 710 to FM since we have Elections for the upcoming year...everybody will be wanting that. So it would make sense that Fox News WNTM on 107.3! Clear Channel, start the adjusting!
