well... when its an arm race and u play it (first) and/or now - its still new, soo that is a plus (+) - the fair weather (listener) fan, hears the music and gets into the holiday shopping...and it (goes back to above point) its a nice break from the same ol 15 songs ... its great to hear christmas music ... (now) see how it is after YOU personally are done with your shopping and its only the first week of december...
its also nice to know its there, if u need it...

My iTunes is still not allowed to play any Christmas music... and once it is, it will play through at least the 12 Days. I was happy to find "Snoopy's Christmas" available for (legal!) download so I'm happy...
Here in Rochester, Legends 102.7 was not overdoing it last year, with some songs here and there mixed in. I appreciated that.

You want Christmas music? You got it. You don't want Christmas music? There are still plenty of stations on the dial who aren't playing it yet, and will mix it in judiciously after Thanksgiving.
It's way to early for my taste. Star and Joy are off my presets right now. They may be back sometime in mid-December. Or, maybe not. What will annoy me next is that after midnight, Dec. 26th, you won't find a Christmas tune on the radio, despite the fact that I'll be in full holiday mode until New Years.

November 9th. "Sunny with a high in the 60s today..." Uh, what's that? All Christmas on Star, followed by Joy.
And yet, the day after Christmas, they'll return to their normal formats, and you won't even know it's the holiday season. This is just so wrong. But it's all about the money. Advertisers want to attract holiday shoppers, and Star and Joy are happily helping out. Actually, they finally started correcting this travesty last year, I believe. Now, they do mix in some Christmas music between Christmas and New Year's. Still, I wasn't happy to hear it today, and now I see it started last Wednesday?!? So stupid.

Not knowing the inside story, I'm curious. Does Delilah drive the flip because she's decided to do seasonal shows or does she have another version of the program for non-Christmas stations? (I don't listen but I assume she talks about the music at some point during the show.)

Rarely do I listen to either of these chick stations. Who the hell is listening to all Christmas a week before Thanksgiving? Must be women like the crazy cat lady down the street who has 12 cats and dances with them on her front lawn. Sick. When and if I want to check out these stations, I'll scan down from 96.9 or 103.3. Today, by some weird science chance, I heard Joy playing a newer version of Wham's (or was it George Michael solo? Aw, WGAS) "Last Christmas." Being curious and making a bad listening choice worse, I checked out Star. It was playing "All I Want For Christmas." Two songs and already I've had my fill of this all-Christmas pap for at least four weeks.
After hearing those two songs, I needed to drive to a sports bar, watch ESPN for at least half an hour and drink a bottle of an overpriced beer from a microbrewery just to get the bad chick radio out of my system. BTW, the processing on Star sucks candy canes. It's clipped and slammed so badly the bottom end distortion could break a detainee at Gitmo. Memo to Entercom: Congratulations! You're the loudest, meanest, badest, most distorted 110 kW All Christmas AC station on the band. Kickin' ass and makin' listeners' ears bleed. When a salesman knows your audio processing is bad, you have problems.

Ah. Remember the days when 102.5 was the loudest, cleanest signal in the market? They're audio has been awful for a while. Maybe they think they're in Syracuse.
