Morning Shows

Sounds like K-Hits hired a morning show to replace Billy.  They start later this month.   I wonder who???

Also a strong rumor that Cox will import the BMS at some point.  I wonder if they will run it during morning drive or at night??   What station??    I hear the Cox stations promoting Billy's Tire Store "Ireland's" a lot.  There is still a strong tie with Tulsa.  I think he has several friends at 71st & Yale.  Hmmmmmmm.

The new morning show on Gen-X is not too bad.

Not on Mix 96.
Why get everybody on to KRMG at 102.3 just to separate the AM again?
Star 103.3?  Seems EXTREMELY unlikely.

That seems like wishful thinking on somebody's part.  I would think you'd need a MUCH younger target and ideally a hard rock format to justify the immature humor of BMM.

Did they (or what's on the other guys) ever pull much of anybody outside of the 12-24 yr old demo?

Probably true.  I bet it will be Mikey B or Stan The Jokeman back on Khits.  Cheaper than the BMS.

To my knowledge, the only friend Billy has at Cox Tulsa is Tod Tucker. There's nowhere for Billy's show to go on the Cox cluster. My understanding is that his hope is to self-syndicate it to Tulsa. But where? Definitely wishful thinking.

I have heard that Jet is thinking of putting Carly Rush back on mornings at K-Hits. I doubt that will happen. And the chances of me getting that morning show are better than the chances of Stan or Mikey B coming back.

Ha! That would be awesome. I know Andy, and I'm sure he is not interested in going back in time 15 years. He doesn't know anything about current music and probably less about relating to today's youth.

The promos do say that it's someone we know, so I guess that's puts him in the mix.

Probably Lindsey and/or Carly back.  They will find a jock from a small market to be the host.  Find a former night guy that wants to be a morning star.  Pay a small salary and you have a morning show.  Very simple.  It will last 9 months and then it will be time for a new morning show.  I am sure the guys at the Beat will enjoy the challenge.
