Note buried in Cindy Adams NY Post column dated 5/21/12: the former Governor will be getting a guest co-host for a tryout on WOR - Bernadette Castro. Shades of Patty Steele joining Joe Crummey on WABC many months ago.

Castro, a Republican, was the NY State Parks + Recreation commissioner from 1995-2006 and was the heiress to the Castro Convertibles sofa company which was sold to Krause Furniture in 1993.

David Patterson might be the most boring PM drive show I've heard.  He's a nice guy, but has no opinions and no "fire" at all.  It's like Joan Hamburg minus the food/indigestion/Broadway shows/old yenta schtick.  Just nothing radio, wallpaper for the ears. 

Talk radio isn't meant to be wallpaper.

How old is Bernadette Castro?  Much older than Paterson ... even older than Hamburg, I'll bet!  This must be an attempt to make WOR sound even OLDER ... it's "incontrovertable."     Guess there's good money in peddling wrinkle cream and prostate pills. Perhaps he who laughs last ............

I forgot about the Dave Ramsey snooze-fest as well.  Yikes, that show is like paint drying.  He's like an annoying dad that gives out advice all the time when you don't really want to hear it.
