WDOK sounds alot like WLIF in Baltimore. It seems CBS is migrating many of its AC stations into a more Adult Top 40/80s and 90s sound. I've heard Taio Cruz, Lady Gaga, One Republic on both WDOK and WLIF.

We have this station on at work and if you don't mind hearing the same Lady Gaga (Pokerface, Bad Romance), Katy Perry (California Gurls, Firework, Teenage Dream, Hold n Cold) Adele (Someone Like You, Fire to the Rain), Pink, Rhianna and her techno-sounding 'We Found Love', Train's 'Hey Soul Sister' along with the aforementioned Taio Cruz and Bruno Mars (Grenade, Just the Way You Are) songs day in and day out between 8am and 4pm, with some of them repeated along with older songs sprinkled in like Billy Joel (Still Rock N Roll to Me, My Life, She's Got a Way), Journey (Open Arms, Faithfully) Kool and the Gang's 'Celebration' Shannon's 'Let the Music Play' Bangles 'Manic Monday' and a few others, then you'll like this station. I even heard Manfred Mann's Blinded by the Light, which seems out of place for 102. Personally, I would like to hear different songs rather than the same ones being repeated every day.
I see WLIF 101.9 in Baltimore is also owned by CBS and they probably have the same CBS playlist WDOK has.
I wish they would do what WVNO 106.1 does in Mansfield - No repeat workday.

When did they add the robotic female backsell voice? I thought I was listening to Mix 106.5

Interesting for a station with the name NEW, how much old music they play. There's alot of new pop music (Flo + the Machine, Mumford and Sons, Gotye, etc) that is female friendly, has no other home on the commercial radio dial, and would sound good in DOK's music mix. Right now DOK sounds like the bastard stepchild of Q104 and the Lake, not really CHR, not really Hot AC, not really classic hits, but trying to get audience from each.

You said Flo + the Machine, Mumford and Sons, Gotye don't get commercial airplay. I know at at least 4 commercial stations in NEO playing these artists.

Is WKDD one of the four playing those artists? Sorry if that sounds dumb. I really love Goyte's "Somebody That I Used To Know," and would love to hear it on the commercial side of NEO radio. I know WJCU plays it on weekdays.

Looking at mediabase: WQAL, WAKS, WKDD, WDJQ, WHBC, spinning Gotye now WQAL, WKDD, WHBC have all spun Flo.
Mumford....different story.

Interesting though that a lot of those stations are playing a re-mixed version of that Gotye tune....which has been #1 on WBWC's top 5 list for a long time. The rest of that Gotye album is very good too btw. Didn't Q104 play Mumford and Sons?
