With KVI off, I am hearing a weak CKWL Williams Lake, BC; fading in and out but it's there. One other station is fluttering in and out, but I don't know if it's CKSW in Swift Current, Sask., KNRS in Salt Lake City or something else.

WMCA would be awesome (though not much to listen to.) But I hear their signal is lousy outside of metro NYC......

Will they simulcast on Star 101.5? So people can hear it when the sun goes down? That's silly, 1000 AM is also a very powerful AM signal. I can receive it in Portland respectably well.

The only signal on is 1000 AM. Will they simulcast on Star 101.5? So people can hear it when the sun goes down?
KOMO, at one point, had overnight show devoted to people all over Western US who would listen "when the sun went down". 50kw signal has a fine reach.

I've listened to KOMO 1000 at night everywhere up and down I-5, from Sacramento to Vancouver, BC. and, I think, as far east as Missoula.

I've heard KOMO as far east as Denver. Beyond that, other signals (namely WMVP, but some Mexican stations underneath) start cutting in.....

Didn't want make a big deal of this Komo rumor. Hope its not true, just heard today, Bill Yeend may be retiring. Can't find confirmation of this anywhere, maybe someone here knows the story? I know I would miss him in the morning!

Yep, it's true... announced internally a couple of weeks ago. There will be other changes as well.

Yep, it's true... announced internally a couple of weeks ago. There will be other changes as well. I think that KOMO is the best station in the entire USA. I hope there will be only minor changes to a great station that DOES NOT need fixing. One of my KOMO friends forwarded me the email. I will Miss Bill
