It's a novelty song, for cryin' out loud!  Some of you are taking it much too seriously!  It ain't no "He Stopped Loving Her Today."     And it never will be.  Just take it for what it is...a novelty song!   

But it shows how far the Warren Brothers (among the co-writers of the song) have fallen, that they felt a need to appear in the video for the song!

Dora Hall would have been a natural for this one. After all she was the Solo Cup Girl. And if she had recorded this one, you could have gotten a copy of the CD with your purchase of Red Solo Cups.

I'm not sure who that is, but I can't picture anyone but a guy singing that song.
