97.5/1230 returns to the airwaves in north Georgia as News/Talk
« on: January 26, 2012, 12:48:38 PM »

"The Great Radio Guru" Gil Moor talked me into buying his AM/FX - formerly WNGM and now WJUL. Excited to be News/Talk with the Beck/Rush/Hannity/Boortz/Clark lineup. Nothing like that up there - it's wall to wall country...plenty of Mountain Tea Partiers going into November, we hope.

Young Harris mountain is tough to get a signal over - the FM comes into Habersham 40 miles (and a mountain) away better than it comes in Young Harris 5 miles away. AM signal is good in Young Harris. FM coverage into Hayesville and Murphy North Carolina is good. And our COL is Hiawassee where we are strong...

Giving away $97.50 every weekday in February - you streamers count too at wjulradio.com! Doing lots of billboards, TV and newspaper to promote. Station manager and sales reps predict good things. WCHM has confirmed to me that community radio can be successful in every sense.

You got a good deal with the purchase of the two stations, good luck with them. The web site looks good. Do you all cover any local sports, the schedule that is on the web site did not list any. What is your percentage of national programming to your local stuff? Again good luck with the stations.
