Sounds like they've skewed toward another Power 95.3, playing more Rhythmic Top 40.
If they keep this up, they can reimage as "Amp Radio" Orlando.
That's a monster of a signal to have a CHR on.
Not sure if having a Hot AC & a CHR in one group will work or not.
Heck, Sunny 105.9 & Mix 105.1 already play some of the same 80's music.
Honestly, I'd like to see a Rhythmic AC (like 93.9 Jamz in Hawaii) or Pure Dance station (like Energy 107.9 in Melbourne).

To the surprise of exactly nobody, Rickey Smiley is gone from mornings on 102 Jamz. So basically they just did a clean sweep of the drive time personalities.

The obvious implications here are that Jamz is ditching its Urban roots in favor of a more mainstream presentation. The Jamz moniker obviously has name recognition in the Orlando market, but will they jettison it now that they're playing Maroon 5 and Katy Perry? Another factor - Mix has tiptoed towards the CHR border of Hot AC, playing stuff like LMFAO, Selena Gomez and Pitbull in recent months. 101.9 therefore is limited in how mainstream of a CHR presentation they can produce - thus, we're likely to get something along the lines of LA's Amp Radio or Detroit's Channel 955.

I guess CBS' strategy is to squeeze a very mainstream (and very good) XL, barricading them with Mix on the HAC side and Jamz on the Rhythmic side. Will it work? Should be interesting to watch. Apparently Rob Morris (best known for his long tenure as PD of KDWB/Minneapolis) is serving as WJHM's in-house consultant for the next few months...

Who wants to bet either "now 101.9" or "amped 101.9"? Just sayin'. It's not out of the question.
