Hello. It may seem that 102.5 is in mono but if you listen very careful there is some stereo there but it's not separated very well. I have listened to it on headphones and you will notice it better.

I will go one worse, while driving to the Beach this summer I briefly hear a translator that was using an AM radio receiver for its feed.  Complete with the lightning static.

If it was in Vero Beach, that would have been WAXE 1370 (legally WZTA) on the 107.9 translator. Yes it does sound pretty bad, especially when the AM receiver is slightly mistuned and they're playing music.

I think all of this will go down in a few weeks or so. Not sure on dates but reach fm is still on the air. Is the transmitter still gonna be in altamonte? I live near the best buy and the signal is a rimshot over here right now. the 107.3 out of debary actually comes in better over here.

The 104.5 is licensed to Altamonte Springs but transmits from a tower in Pine Hills just south of Clarcona-Ocoee Road on Pine Hills Road.

Hello Dean. Thank you for clearing things up. That makes sense now. I unfortunatly can't use radio locator maps because I cannot see them. I guess COLS don't mean a whole lot in terms of transmitter and tower location.  BTW, anyone have a date on when this move is supposed to happen and where will the transmitter be? Anyone think CC would take a chance with WFLF on a full power fm like cox has done with WDBO? I honestly have no idea which signal CC would blow up for that to happen if this does indeed come to pass.

It seems that 102.5 is broadcasting in stereo again.
Weird. Maybe they were thinking of putting WFLA on 102.5 at one point.

Hello DJ Mo. 102.5 does indeed sound a lot better today than it has in a long time. Wonder if the cc engeneers read this?  There stereo was not all that full until today. A little ot but the best sounding station was 103.1 when they ran smooth jazz. Their sound was just like a cd. Now the best stations with the best sound quality in my ippinion is first wpoz  then wocl  tied with wmmo.  both 88.3 and 95.9 sound incredible.

I agree, WPOZ sounds fantastic! They are running the new Omnia 11.
