One of the great rock legends in Nashville.  He knew what music Nashvillians wanted to hear. No one like him left. KDF The Fox Lightning 100

Truly a fine gentleman. He will really be missed. One of the best voices and always a constant. Extremely sad news.

I enjoyed hearing David Hall on both 104.5 the Fox back in the late '80s and later at Lightning 100. That is very sad news - my condolences go out to his friends and family.

David Hall and Fred Buc did a wonderful job running and keeping Lightning 100 on the air and relevant in Nashville radio for close to 20 years considering the budget they had to work with under some of the previous owners. Didn't listen as much as I use to but would still tune in every now and then to listen to David Hall in the afternoons. Any details yet of the cause of death?

Terrible news and shocking.  Another successful classmate from Murray State University.  I used to listen to David on 91.3 WKMS when it was student operated.  And on 1340 WNBS along with Ronnie Dean Payne, the Dean of rock and soul.  Ron is in Tampa badly needing a gig btw.  Then David got his rock chops on "WABD-FM Ft. Campbell - a civilian operation and not connected to the military installation of the same name.". That was actually their legal ID and heard David say that more times than I can count.  A true rock star!!!

Rest in peace my friend and may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
