Steve was a big kid at heart. Loved to play practical jokes on people like the late Harry Downey and to cause trouble by spreading rumors in the WGY newsroom. He loved movies, traveling around the world with groups that his wife, Peggy organized, and attending performances of the orchestra at SPAC. Great on-air presence who transcended age barriers. Younger listeners related to him as easily as members of his own generation. And, he was a consummate voiceover specialist who connected with a listener one-on-one.
