Speaking of fake callers, there actually used to be one I enjoyed listening to.

Seg's neighbor, in Middletown, who ran the lawn mower repair shop. I can't recall his name anymore.

Sadly, I think he was killed in that motorcycle accident.

Quote
Eric Deters said that Richard from Indian Hill and Nick from Loveland are brothers and gave their real names on his show around 2 months ago.   (while outing them as fake callers)
It makes it even worse when you have guys like Marc Amazon who claim they know Richard personally and have attended parties at his house. Seriously, come on.

Seg's neighbor was played by the late Mr. K who worked midday's at WEBN.

An honest question to those of you in the radio business... how does someone get a 3 hour talk show on a 50K watt radio station when they can't string a sentence together without "uh" "uh "uh"?

Do they listen to themselves at all? Maybe this only matters to me? Does it annoy anyone else?

They get paid to talk. Speaking without stuttering is not all that difficult. I do it every day, albeit to a much smaller audience.

Is the ability to speak without "uh"-ing a desirable skill in radio?

What about "and and and and" of Lance?  Sounds like he's getting wound up or something.  He's very annoying, too.  Don't listen to him, either.

Richard from Indian Hill, you're on.
He really is the go to guy when the phone lines aren't lighting up. I can't beleive some people actually think he's a real person.
I'll have to ask Helen Mays if he's real or not.  Smiley

It bothers the crap out of me, and I posted about this soon after he began there.  I can't believe he stays on the air when guys like Doc Thompson gets canned!  As for sending Sloan to Louisville, NO THANK YOU!

Yea it bothers me also.
