That poster of him flipping the bird didn't do anything for his credibility, either.  Roll Eyes
THat photo was taken at San Quentin in 1970.
Does it really matter?  Whether it was 1955, or a week before his death, it still hurt his credibility.  Smashing out the lights at the Ryman didn't help his image, either.  Roll Eyes
please, say this isnt so!  look here if johnny done flipped off someone, and its proved by photograph, i am no longer a johnny cash fan.  i will burn all my dozens of dozens of albums and CD's.  i cant beleive this. please say it isnt so.  yep, this is quite the scandal here you uncovered.  its about as worse as murder and rape!

but, let me put on my serious hat, and ask you two boys with the thousands, and thousands of posts.  are you for real, or just  radio-info board ambassadors who challange, and counter point everything, in an effort to bring conversation, debate and excitement to the readers, and posters?

by the way, ive got that johnny cash poster with his middle finger, and sneer proudly displayed!  uh huh, you really think that hurt his credibility huh?

With the exception of seldon played Toby Keith and Alan Jackson there is little real country anymore it is all an extension of pop/AC and rock guitars not a fiddle in sight, most of it sounds the same. It reminds me of the terrible change that has come over Urban music, the female performers all sound
like they are wailing off tune and screachy a la Jennifer Hudson. Earlier Whitney Houston sounded like singing angel in comparsion. Etta James and Dinah Washington you are missed bigtime, the same with Will Smith and even Bobby Brown and the New Edition were great compared to what is offered up in 2012

Most any of the female singers newer than Martina McBride. Especially that obnoxious Taylor Swift. Taylor, please now that you are an adult, sing about adult topics rather than topics of interest to 11 year old females, lose the Mean and Lie subject matter. Respect your elders in this format.
