Also try:

WHK (1420) on the weekend.

WJTB (1040) North Ridgeville.  But be sure to bring your own glue and duct tape when the equipment starts coming apart in the middle of your show!

Doesn't WHK run an Irish music show and a Polka show on Sundays?  Now those are the best.  I love me a good Polka show especially the old TV Polka varieties with Paul Wilcox  Grin

Just make sure if the FCC visits during your shift.. Don't tell them "no one is home"

Well, finally, the FCC is taking a closer look at this garbage dump of a radio station.

Ole J.T.'s excuse that he only has staff work "as needed" is beyond pathetic.  This guy is a sham artist of the first degree,  as anyone who ever worked for him will tell you.   The radio station (if you want to call it that) is a technical nightmare, probably violating virtually every FCC rule ever created.   J.T. seems to be completely clueless on many different levels.  The story of his proposal to a staff member that WJTB sell (yes, you heard it right....SELL) promotional records in their lobby is astonishing.  Many times when I put on the station, the distortion is so bad I can't understand a word anyone is saying.  Either that, or (evidently to try to compensate) the modulation is turned way way down to the point where you can barely hear it under the 60 cycle hum and crackles.  The sad thing is that, properly engineered, the station would have a very good signal over Cleveland and Akron (as they did when they first signed on).  I sure would like to hear WDLW (Cool Cat Oldies) take that spot, or maybe an Hispanic station (so the audience wouldn't have to rely on pirates).

Instead we get this guy who is so cheap he won't even hire a staff, and so irresponsible that the station isn't even understandable much of the time!

We can only hope that the FCC pulls his license and that 1040 will go to an actual broadcaster someday.
