If I were him, and something like came up, I'd be doing the same thing.  Given your position on conservative talk radio from all the KROI threads, I have to guess you're not a regular KSEV listener, yet this landed on your radar.  My best guess as to why is Chris Baker called up some loony left reporter who played along and got him some publicity somewhere. 

If I were in Baker's position and had no promotions budget for my show on a virtually unknown station, I might just do the same thing.

Of course it landed on my radar and I am salivating over it. So what? As for "publicity", Michael has all he can handle with the coverage on three television stations and the Houston Chronicle. As for ratings this will probably give Berry a surge and something to pop the cork on a bottle of champaign over OR maybe he can take in another drag show...and take a cab this time.

I skipped to the bottom, so I don't know if anyone brought up the fact that this is the SECOND time Berry has done this.  He goes to gay bars and rams into cars.  That could be a country song.  Anyway, he is so full of himself, this will not affect him in any way.  I hope they cancel his show, however.

Do tell? Source? I seem to recall a tale about a stolen or carjacked vehicle that turned up a  few days later in the parking lot of a tacky little hotel, can't recall if that involved Michael Berry or someone else. I hadn't heard of previous vehicle damage or vandalism allegations

@Drucifer, you don't pay Dick DeGuerin for bad advice; I would be shocked to find that he failed to advise his client to stay out of bars and refrain from drinking in any public place until this is resolved. I can't imagine Mr. Berry would feel all that comfortable right now, at any rate. It would be impossible to escape notice, and some of that attention might well be in the form of flak from other patrons.

If there was justice in this situation, Berry would be on some 0.2 share station, and Baker would be back on the 50,000 watt blowtorch where he belongs. Alas, that is not the case.

Odd, I know for a fact that the Firehouse employs someone to monitor their parking lot. Maybe the bouncer was in the restroom when this terrifying incident took place. I'm sure the club owner was not thrilled about the way events went down. No club owner I know would prefer to allow a patron to take a cab home following an armed carjacking without at least having the opportunity to file a police report and make sure the guest was okay. And I know this wasn't the sort of publicity the Firehouse enjoyed.

Duly noted LOL! Berry must be mighty uncomfortable sitting on top of that fence. I can only imagine. Of course, he could offer to be the Grand Marshall of this years Houston Gay Pride Parade through Montrose. It could kind of show how "diverse" he insists he is and would really bolster his image among Houston's considerable LGBT community. (Not that he necessarily wants to or needs to.) Of course, the attack dogs and ditto heads who hang on his every word on KTRH might not like it. Oh the FUN!!!!
