Huh Wait...is "Family radio" and "Focus on the family" in the same family? Or are they two competing networks?

Family Radio is a network; Focus on the Family is a program.  To my knowledge they aren't related.

And to further confuse the situation, another "major player" is a network called "American Family Association".

There is also American Family Radio! LOL! (A very good quality Christian radio network.)

In fact, I often wrote (or typed) Camping's network as  ' "Family" Radio '
because they've never carried "Focus on the Family"! Of course, the HERESY of their (FR) owner revealed itself only too clearly!!!

American Family Radio is operated by the American Family Association. They have a lot of shows along the lines of Focus on the Family and discuss political issues that affect the family. They actually have two networks. One is all talk and the other is talk and AC CCM mixed. They're definitely not in the same category as Family Radio.

PS: Why was this thread moved?

The three usual reasons threads get moved (from what I have observed) are too political, verbally abusive (I believe get deleted which helps keep cyber bullies from dominating this site), or in the case of the Religious Radio thread, too religious as in doctrine discussions.  They want this site to really be about radio or TV, both secular and religious, and not have side bars of discussion dealing with politics or doctrinal differences in the main part of the site.  So when a post crosses over the the line too far, in the moderators judgment, then off it goes to Off the Air or Take It Outside.  They have provided us a place within RI to continue the discussion, which they don't have to do.  So it's a win/win.

Maybe the moderator will chime in and clarify any mis-statements I made in this regard, but that's what I've observed.

Hope that is helpful.

If the threads got too theological or doctrinal then that probably was why it was moved from Religious/CCM to OFF Air.  Remember this is a radio chat site and the moderators prefer we all not get too deep into the doctrines or theology of the faith.  As one who tends to go into to those areas, I wish they'd allow it, but at least they've got a spot where that deeper conversation can happen, in OFF Air or Take it Outside.  They've found a way to accommodate that need, yet keep the main part of the site for just Radio, both secular and religious.  So as I said, its a win/win.

Also, it is their site, and we are guests, we've got to respect and honor their rules.
