I knew the news compition was tough in New Haven, but not this tough! Haha.
All kidding aside, I have a lot of respect for our field crews, for the crap they sometimes have to go through out there.

It sounds like they were aiming at a passing car, that happen to be passing the news-van at the time.

Funny I first heard about this story on NEWS 8 @ 10 on MY TV 9.   

Meanwhile I watched the story on NBC 30 at 11 last night. There version makes it seem like it wasn't much of anything and that NEWS 8 is blowing things out of proportion. BTW neither station mentioned the crew that was involved.

Interesting that Channel 8 story referred to WVIT as Channel 30 and not NBC Connecticut.  I don't know about you, but most people I know refer to the CT stations as Channel 8, Channel 30, Channel 18, etc.  Nobody ever says I'm watching News 8 or Fox CT.
