Keep an eye on how the potential sales of WBLS and WFME are going for signals on what's happening at 92.3.  CBS is very likely to respond if either of those stations goes to sports talk, and 92.3 is the likely new CBS sports FM.

Get ready for Sportsradio The FAN....660 AM & 92.3 FM.  It's gonna happen eventually! Smiley

Hinckley has a write-up on Cannon's departure:

Note that Cannon will continue hosting the syndicated "Cannon's Countdown" show, which - format flip notwithstanding - will continue being heard on 92.3...

Maybe im not in radio but what does sitting down in a radio station and standing on a stage make you tired...

I remember when David Lee Roth bragged during his old "92.3 Free-FM" morning show that he was always "standing up" in the studio during the show.

His show barely lasted four months. Go figure.

Does this mean his no-talent female co-host who should be reading traffic reports in market #100-something is also leaving?

Good god, that woman is cancer to the ears.

I loved how Howard Stern COMPLETELY ignored her a few weeks ago when Cannon interviewed Stern on the air.   Grin  He wouldn't even acknowledge her despite her multiple desperate attempts to wedge herself into the interview!  It was great.

Nikki was much better, but she moved on to greener pastures

I'm probably cheaper to hire than Nick Cannon was (and maybe a cheaper Music/Program Director to hire all-in-one).
I was born in Chinatown & have family living up there, so I can move up here if I really wanted to.
Just need the right opportunity.

Heard a few details about Nick Cannon's medical condition.
That's pretty crazy for a 31-year-old.
I'm also 31, but don't have any medical issues other than a mild stomach bug at the moment.
I wish him the best of luck. Mariah should comfort him just fine.

I'd hardly call News12 Traffic a greener pasture.
