Montgomery Radio Market is Boring (Ready For Some Excitment)
« on: November 28, 2005, 10:46:15 PM »

The Montgomery radio market is boring, right now.  When will some real excitment come again?

I know that Moody is building a new radio station here in Selma and that is exciting. Can't wait much longer, for them to hit the airwaves at 89.5 FM.  When they sign on, hope they will have runaway success and win many souls over to Jesus.

This market is very stale and needs some life.  Any format and/or station changes scheduled for the Montgomery market, anytime soon?  If something does happen, that would be exciting to me.

I am still working on getting 94.3 FM, in Selma, back on.  Right now, it may seem that things aren't working in my favor but I have this feeling that something big is about to happen. When it does, I am going to root for whatever I end up carrying on this translator and Pray that God will use it to help Spread the Gospel and win souls over to Jesus.

Wish that WBIH would air some real programming and ditch the same old informericals they are constantly carrying.  Hope channel 29 will find something that will appeal to a mass audience, real soon.

P.S. I am ready for some excitement again, in this market.  If anyone is fixing to make it happen, bring it on.  That would make my day.

well.....
I think the Montgomery Radio Market is one of the best.
If you listen to the crap on the air in B'ham..or Atlanta... bunch of corp. radio liner readers.
Lot's of great jocks in Montgomery. Lots of good shows...better than most markets... I'd put my station up against any classic rocker in america!
and we'd win... just listen.... 95.1 The Fox.

look dude, no hard feelings... but you are wrong.

maybe a CCM station. never understood why Montgomery has never had one, even though WAY-FM has some translators there. I've never understood, either, why 96.1 didn't try CCM since they've gone through so many formats over the years.

I'd work a deal to simulcast WRJM "UPN 67" myself. Of course, that'd mean new ownership that gave a flip about the over-the-air product that viewers see everyday.  It's more than obvious Flinn Broadcasting doesn't.

I did hear that the Bluewater folks are planning on livening things up a bit on New Years by going all-topless. But, that might be just the management....

I don't know how the Montgomery radio market sounds like or what's in it, but I can tell you Huntsville radio market is so boring. The only station worth listening to up here is Rocket 95.1.

I listen to Y 102 occasionally especially for the Rick and Bubba show, and have really liked Mix 103 here at Christmas time...otherwise I listen to my XM radio.  I used to try listening to Way FM but I cant hear it from my work to my house...I lose the signal totally and got tired of that.
As for the Fox, I think everyone is afraid of saying anything about it (good or bad) because we fear the rath of Skipper.

Now that's funny. Rath is spelled with a W.

Funny...rath is actually means early, or soon.  Wrath of course is what I meant...I guess thats why I only got 2nd in the spelling bee...Skipper, you must have been the champion.  Thanks for the spelling correction.
