Is it me or are they finally opening up their variety of song choice?

Some of the songs escape me but "Without You" by Nilsson was one of the tunes played today.

It's felt like for the longest time there's just been nothing but classic rock (limited at that, I've yet to hear a song from The Who) mixed in with 5-10 Motown songs but now I've heard a more expanded playlist lately.

Perhaps they are feeling a bit threatened by the increasing popularity of KMCQ? I am hearing 104.5 in more and more public establishments. I did tune in to KJR FM for a few minutes and noticed that their station liner now says Songs of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Then I tuned back to 104.5.

Aside from an occasional check on Bob Rivers or Slaton when I'm headed south, I don't pay much attention to KJR-FM (I've been spending more time listening to WNCW http://wncw.org and KWLE on mobile lately to notice)

I SERIOUSLY STILL think KJR-FM has an enormous potential in Bob Rivers and Steve Slaton. And if they will focus a little, I agree "95.7 KNBQ and KNBQ-HD1 Seattle" would absolutely SOUND like a halfway KICKASS Classic Rock radio station ID.....

I think KJR are somewhat feeling threatened by The Mountain, whose classic rock selections are quite varied and pretty deep.

KJR still can't figure out what they want to be, it seems.

As soon as I notice that Slaton hasnt played The Archies "Sugar Sugar" for a few weeks then I'll be convinced that channel 95 is going to go out on the limb and rock it up a bit more...until then..

"Sugar Sugar" has played in Slaton's show two times in 2012.
