To be specific, Q 104 has hired Kelly McCann to be the PMD DJ, coming over form Mix 106.3 in Sagniaw, MI, where she did middays.

WDOK has also hired Liz Leonard to work the former Delilah shift in the evening.  She was on the Fish back in the day as a weekender, and has bounced around a bit.

Also Kory is moving over from WQAL to be the midday man over at the New 102, filling Nancy Alden's old slot.

Actually a smart move by DOK to wait until filling Nancy and Delilah's old spots...gives the new folks a chance to do their thing with less heat on them for taking over 2 popular DJ's long time posts.

So here's what things now look like:

WDOK:
AMD--Trapper and Toohey (and Infoman)
Midday--Kory
PMD--Desiree McCray
Evenings--Liz Leonard

WQAL:
AMD--Fee's Kompany (Allan Fee and Katherine Boyd)
Midday--Tim Richards
PMD--Kelly McCann
Evenings--Cherise Navidad

Congrats to Kory, Liz and Kelly.  I wish them success in their new positions.

So is Cherise the new evening host on Q or are they going to hire someone else for Kory's now old spot?

Until something else comes out, gotta assume it's Cherise's job to lose...kinda like Katherine Boyd was in the morning.

I've seen on QAL's FB page people coming on saying "Hire the Hitman" where some guy from the Army who goes by "The Hitman" from going radio in service is trying to get hired for a slot.  He wanted afternoons, but it seems they went a different direction, so now he's hoping for nights.  This guy is even having people go on Q's FB page saying "Hire the Hitman" with some upset they hired Kelly instead of their beloved hopeful.  All I have to say is good luck, though not sure going on FB telling a station to hire someone works.

UPDATE: Q104 has hired a new night host.

His name is "Average Joe" McGuire and comes from a CHR station in Green Bay.

Best of luck to him at Q as he starts in early June.

This is amazing. You mean to say these radio stations actually have live DJs on the air at these times, or do they voice track these shifts?

They're all live.  Weekends are usually either live or voicetracked.
