K277AG, formerly simulcasting 104.5 KKMY, splits off to simulcast its HD2 feed as ”Comedy 103.3.”

CC has HD broadcasting active in the Beaumont area? Who knew?

I'm surprised they didn't put KLVI on 103.3 - or better yet, 104.5. I give KKMY 6 months and it may come to pass.

There is no need for KKMY to be on the translator anymore! they moved to the KIOC/KBTV transmitter site. the only reason for the 103.3 was the crappy transmitter site in Orange. KLVI is what should have been on 103.3 then it could have been on FM. Oh well soon enough CC will make 104.5 KLVI-FM

The 24/7 Comedy Network has been a huge hit in Austin on a translator, cracking the top 10.  But BPO may be too spread out for a standalone translator to adequately cover.

I was in Austin a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed the comedy broadcast there.  I think it was better than what CC is running on 103.3.

103.3 is back to simulcasting KKMY this morning instead of comedy.

I guess the comedy channel experiment is over?

Apparently, they took a break from comedy for some reason Sunday morning. Perhaps station automation at its best.  Comedy is back on now.

The STL tower out back is the best lightning rod in Southeast Texas. It puts lightning in every corner of that building, so I am not surprised to hear about problems in that place! Plus the automation computers there are about 11 years old now so God only knows what is going on??

So 103.3 is not carrying the 24/7 Comedy Network?

Apparently not.  It's not entirely unheard of to originate your own comedy programming.  Joplin, MO also has a comedy station that runs bits in a similar format to 24/7 Comedy but doesn't get its programming from the network.  That would be KCAR-FM "Laugh Out Loud Radio 104.3."
