Zap2it lists KZFW/43 ???
« on: December 07, 2012, 01:21:53 PM »

I just started playing around with Zap2it.com's TV listings and noticed this. I assume they mean KSFW/43 since KZFW is channel 6 and audio-only, and KSFW is supposed to be on RF 2 (which would make their virtual channel 43, reverse of KDTN). The weird thing is, I didn't think KSFW ever lit up Huh

According to Zap2it, if they're on the air it looks like they're identical to KPFW/18 (which Zap2it doesn't list). Their listing just shows "Tele Restauracion" over & over Roll Eyes

Besides this one weird listing, I was impressed with Zap2it. There are a few mistakes and obsolete channels (they list 11.1 twice - probably a relic of KTVT's recently-ended simulcast - as well as the 21.2 that CBS used right after the digital transition; they also list 31.2), but they're much more complete and accurate than TVGOS or PSIP info. They list all of K31GL's subchannels - even the infomercials on 31.5 Roll Eyes - and they have correct listings for both 47.1 and 47.4 when the two differ.

It occurs to me that KZFW's pre-transition station was 53, so "KZFW/43" is probably a typo of an out-of-date channel number rather than a typo of KSFW.

Of course KZFW (long since moved to channel 6) is no longer broadcasting Tele Restauracion either (or any video, for that matter). I don't speak Spanish well, but I've seen KZFW's audio service advertised on LATV at 88.7 FM. Given LATV's target audience, I doubt KZFW has much to do with religion anymore.
