Vay-Cay Jay returns
« on: March 19, 2012, 06:46:30 PM »

Has anyone noticed that Severin has missed multiple shows in the past two weeks, and they are not necessarily in a vacation mode.  Is 1200 ready to put up with that many missed days?

I guess that depends on why he missed them.

Jay used to pull that stuff too when he got nice and comfy at WTKK.  He is beginning to "walk all over" the establishment once again.

Maybe Paula O'Connor should bring in Jeanne Grant in for an interview, she would never pull that stuff.  Jeanne is an up and
coming talent in the Boston radio market and would blow the competition's ratings out of the water.

Forget about taking over for Jeff Katz in the AM , maybe PM drive is where it's at for her.

Maybe he has lots of vacation time in his contract, or is using up his cough, cough sick days. I wonder if Howie's current contract (2007-12) had Ent. match TKK's '07 offer which maybe had
lots of vacation weeks in there? Howie takes a lot of 3 or 4 day weekends and says often
"I'm going to take every 'teacher's holiday' there is."
During his time at TKK, Jay's vacations or sickies were sometimes filled by live Hannity, when
they had Sean's show...later they would pick up stuff like The Schnitt Show live (Tampa
based; Jeff Katz has done fill ins). I don't know if XKS is doing the same (running Sean live).
One time it sounded like Jay was on 3-5 but after 5 I heard Sean (maybe the 3-5 was
Jay reruns?)

Just wondering, but is there any thread that isn't, eventually, about Howie?

This on-line bromance is becoming unseemly.

Then let's get back to Severino--hit button for 1200 during Jay's slot, and it sounded like Hannity so evidently the former 96.9
prog dir who went to 1200 is doing the same thing as before: Jay on vacay, carry Hannity live.
