You know English-born David Frost (now Sir David Frost) used to have talk shows from both the UK (on ITV) and the USA in which was produced in syndication by Group W (Westinghouse) from July 7, 1969 - July 14, 1972. During the run he interviewed folks like John & Yoko, Prince Charles, Clint Eastwood, Connie Francis, then-VP Sprio Agnew, Stevie Wonder, The Carpenters, Muhammad Ali and Rosey Grier (which I enjoyed the interview clip on YouTube before copyright meddlers tooked it off), Joan Crawford I think, and Tennessee Williams.
Unfortunately, his show was shown in selected markets in the USA. Here's some markets I know that aired David Frost: NEW YORK, NY: WNEW-5 (then Indepdendent, now WNYW FOX O&O) PHILADELPHIA, PA: KYW-3* (then NBC, now CBS O&O) SAN FRANCISCO, CA: KPIX-5* (CBS O&O) BOSTON, MA: WBZ-4* (then NBC, now CBS O&O) ATLANTA, GA: WAGA-5 (then CBS, now FOX O&O) PITTSBURGH, PA: KDKA-2* (CBS O&O) CLEVELAND, OH: WEWS-8 (ABC) BALTIMORE, MD: WJZ-13* (then ABC, now CBS O&O aka the same station that Oprah got one of her starts years later) CHARLOTTE, NC: WSOC-9 (then NBC, now ABC cleared in 1971) DENVER, CO: KBTV-9 (then ABC, now NBC KUSA) RICHMOND, VA: WRIC-6 (ABC, which they forced to moved the weeks episodes of Dark Shadows in a block on Saturdays) MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN: KSTP-5 (then NBC, now ABC) I think
*Group W owned those stations at the time.
Other markets missed out on David Frost in its entire run in syndication include: GREEN BAY, WI MILWAUKEE, WI (home of HAPPY DAYS) MADISON, WI PUEBLO, CO GREENVILLE/SPARTANBURG, SC AUGUSTA, GA COLUMBIA, SC CHARLESTON, SC SAVANNAH, GA KNOXVILLE, TN BRISTOL, VA
