Recorded vs Live?
« on: January 29, 2013, 01:08:16 PM »

Is the FCC Rule 73.1208, about recorded material being identified as recorded, still in effect? Do they ever enforce it?

If talent, during a live show, say "Now, here in our studio, live" when tossing to a prerecorded segment, is that illegal?

Would a disclaimer at the END of the program, "Portions of this show may have been prerecorded" suffice, or does the announcement need to be at the beginning?

Given CC's voicetracking of just about every format I would guess either it's not still in affect or they don't inforce it.

If no one files a formal complaint about it, then it doesn't get enforced.  Even then, it's doubtful.
