One of the most fascinating things is WISX's mixshows. They actually air the Remix Top 30, something that should arguably be on Q102. In addition, their Saturday night mixshow is more aggressive with dance than anything on Q102!

It's a really interesting Hot AC for sure.

Speaking as someone that runs the Remix Top 30 and knows the host, the show is designed for Hot AC.

Add to it, that ISX ins't afraid to play EVERYTHING. Hard Rock, Country, Pop, Rap, Dance - all with it being within the realm of 2000-2012. The PD at this station deserves some serious praise.

I say they rename 106 to KISS-FM 106.1, make it the top40 for Philly, and make Q102 the more adult... hits from the past station. Older people who grew up listening to Q102 would love making it their preset again.

A pointless exercise. Play the music the audience wants and they'll listen.

Also, the newer imaging on WISX sounds like a CHR (the shorter imaging, not the 90's, 2k and Today voice)

I think he meant the format that is more commonly known as Rhythmic AC or Rhythmic Hot AC.  Most typical Hot ACs wouldn't touch that show.
