Wasn't it also a hit record for John Stewart?   

Just as I predicted, the method of "let's try and build some kind of show
around Jamie Pressly's sterotype" did not work.

Does Fox use ION's programming people or is that just my impression?

Even indie stations do better than Fox.

For most people I know, tv is as relevant a part of their lives as radio is.
They watch it when they are around it, and something is on, but they aren't going to much trouble to see formulaic/repetitive/stereotyped/caricature shows like this these days.

Also consigned to the summer is a show that hasn't even aired yet -- Gordon Ramsay's "Hotel Hell". This series was to have debuted April 6 in "Kitchen Nightmares'" time slot (and even aired promos saying so), but has been pushed back to Summer, in order to make room for Bones spin off, "The Finder", which will move from Thursdays at 9 to Fridays at 8:

The new Mindy Kaling pilot that has been ordered for Fox is being pitched as a suitable counterpart for "New Girl", so execs probably thought there was no pointing in continuing to beat this dead horse.  I tried one episode and it was downright painful.

I'm glad they're showing patience with "Raising Hope", though, because I think its underappreciated.  Its not as strong as some other comedies on TV- the aforementioned "New Girl" and "Parks and Recreation" come to mind- but its still a solid comedy.
