NBC is now airing reruns of CNBC's Mad Money at 3AM Eastern replacing The Best Of Jimmy Fallon. Overnights on NBC are now this: 2:05AM The Best of Kathie Lee and Hoda aka The 4th hour of the Today Show. And 3AM Mad Money.

^Yes. Even though I liked "Late Night" when Conan O'Brien was the host, I'm glad the Consumer News and Business Channel stopped broadcasting it. They need to focus on their news operation and business programming rather than serve as an extension of the NBC Television Network.
As for NBC broadcasting "Mad Money", I guess they want more new viewers and listeners for the program, since CNBC usually broadcasts the program when many local TV stations have local newscasts.

Maybe it's a slow evolution to Jim Cramer having his own show on NBC?
There was a time when CNBC was business during the day, talk programming at night. Folks like Phil Donahue, Charles Grodin, and the late Morton Downey, Jr. hosted programs. "Hardball with Chris Matthews" originally was a CNBC program, I believe.

If NBC's going to make Mad Money overnights permanent, they have to do something with how the show is presented. 4:3 video in the middle, but in 3:3 because someone decided to strip out the CNBC ticker from the screen (and obviously no CNBC+ presentation with sidebar charts that would be cut in half), making it this little video in the middle of a gray sea of peacock graphics in the pillar-windowboxes. I know none of CNBC's cameras are HD yet, but nobody will howl if the 4:3 video fills the entire SD space of the screen.

The least NBC could do is have the rest of the screen filled out with promos for CNBC (as if there wasn't enough clutter on the screen already)...
