It seems a different mindset is really kicking in over at the rockin' radio ranch these days.  Are they really losing their shorts that badly over at the Lotus compound??

A few years back, you could tell there was some genuine radio geeks in charge there.  The past several years of homogenizing the "classic rock" or "geezer rock" (call it what you will...) format has turned *both* of the aforementioned stations into a pile of muddied goo at times.   Shocked  I've even taken to listening to other spots on the radio dial, trying to find that respite from that same ol' stuff.  Are my listening tastes really changing that much, or is it I can only listen to "Freebird" just so many times before coming unhinged?   Shocked   Grin

Seriously, KHIT could quite easily put 'PX on the back bench if they'd widen that playlist just a bit more.  When was it - the '90's<?> - when 'PX would play from 9 until noon "The Early Rock Show".  Recall much of that old "Hippie Rock" was on its last gasp back then, but is there any hope it could be revived again?  Even a little bit?

I listened again to that KWFM retrospective http://www.las-solanas.com/kwfm/reunion_2010.php a couple of days ago.  I know we'll never have terrestrial radio like that ever again.  I really, really miss it.
