I'd like them to keep Sophie as HD 2 instead of simulcasting KROQ out of LA.  We already have too much rock music.  In response to an earlier post, Q96 is not a real station being as you can't drive 30 seconds without it fading into static and forget about trying to listen to it on anything other than a car radio. I'd love to see Z90 shift back to a Rythmic station as they are pretty much pure Top 40 now.

5:00...so?

First song, Calvin Harris "Feel So Close"

Launch was a little disappointing for a large market. Beatmix was very sloppy.

Launch was decent, I liked the speeding up of Blow at the end. I didn't like how they did the music clips and the songs they promo'd kicking off the format were old. Maybe they were planning this awhile? We'll see based on this hour's music what they have planned format-wise. First song is a big dance track and crossover CHR song: Feel So Close by Calvin Harris. 10,000 songs in a row!

I agree.  Old songs and an annoying/sloppy beatmix open.  I'm curious to see how this unfolds.

Was it just me or do people get chills listening to the demise/end of a station and moving on to greener pasture?

My thoughts:
- Nice fitting end to Sophie by playing Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved
- Transition: Ke$ha - Blow >> was decent.  Liked the fast paced ending to have a feel for the "Energy" in Energy 103.7
- Rest of the transition: I think it's sloppy but I think it's indicative of a transitioning, so I'm okay with it.
- Calvin Harris - Feel So Close >> first track: It was okay but should've been a more upbeat track.

The aforementioned new website is now out of hiding and is available here:

Did they blow out all the talent as well as the station? I know they are playing 10000 in a row right now but will there be anyone live and local behind the mic once that's over and done?

They're looking around the country for talent who would like to live in America's Finest City and work at 103.7
