Might as well add what I think the schedule will look like, as well:

Midnight-5am: David Hull and Jackie Howard
5am-10am: Andy Rose and Michelle Wright
10am-3pm: John Lisk and Maria Boynton
3pm-7pm: Cheryl Castro and Greg Black
7pm-midnight: Mark Woolsey and Ninette Sosa

I have bolded the anchors I know for sure will be in those spots- based on their bios.

Will the local news and weather come from a local television affiliate or will the station hire their local new journalists and meteorologist.

They have their own reporters an their own morning meteorologist. I haven't heard a thing in these one minute promos. So I dont know.

For whatever reason, KGO runs the ABC TOH news delayed at :02:30.  This allows KGO to have local stories at the TOH and then go into the national news with ABC.

I thought it was posted early on that channel 11 was going to help with the weather coverage.

I also doubt they will have 2 anchors outside of AM and PM drive

I have not been this excited about a radio format change since the fish came to town.

Actually, I think they have more news anchors than they know what to do with.  It is hard for me to imagine one person anchoring a 5 hour shift, all live (which it will be).  So I think they will have two anchors.

It's turning out to be a very eventful Memorial Day (WXKT and WYAY-- both in Gainesville).

BTW, Channel 11 Might help with weather.  At 5:06am on Tuesday, we will sure find out.

WNEW and KGO (both new newsers) always have two anchors.  WNEW swaps off every 30 minutes and KGO has two people on the air at the same time.

Same thing with KOMO and News92fm in Houston.

This clock reads very much like WCBS-AM.  They have two anchors morning and afternoon drive, no single anchor does longer than a 1 hour trick.  WCBS also bails out of the network news at the 02:00 break; WBBM carries the full 4:55 network news.

They may use local TV weather help on extended breaking weather news.

WVBS rarely uses their local Channel 2 for local news; I don't think we'll see much of that on 106.7.

Now, if GST would only do something about their signal … can barely get it here in Rowell.

Several years ago WGST was on 105.7 too. I believe you would have a good signal in Roswell considering 105.7 xmitter is on Sweat Mountain.

BTW here are several postings about WGST:

and I do agree about the signal.
