Again it’s Townsquare Translator Time
« on: April 02, 2012, 12:16:57 PM »

According to Fybush Media News, Townsquare Media has a new format in the works for 94.9 FM currently being used as a “Sound of Life” translator on a small signal off Bald Mountain. They’re hoping to aim 250 watts toward Albany from their Helderbergs tower site.  The word is it will simulcast a HD3 channel off WGNA which has not yet been set up.

So what format will it be this time? Perhaps being associated with WGNA, “Classic Country”? None of the  country stations in this market play the classics as far as I know.
Whatever happens, like the classic rock lyric, “WE WON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN”. Don’t believe any format you hear until it’s been on the air for a week and they’ve rented a billboard.

So what about HD-2?  And how many will lose a job so they can pay for this.  All about making it look good for the new owners to come.

Urban AC? Spanish? Dance? It'd be interesting if an HD2 of WGNA played non-country Smiley
