Most of the KSBJ stations are NOT translators.  There are a couple of C2's, a couple of C3's, and an A.  KZBJ is the only one that would more or less duplicate coverage (of 96.9.)

I rather doubt KSBJ would sell them, anyway.  As non-comms, the stations would probably wind up with a competing religious broadcaster, such as EMF.

KUHA is a good candidate for purchasing them to extend south side coverage.

Why would UH buy them?? They don't cover the south side, either on paper or in reality and they can't move.

somehow I suspect that Baila will still be on KQUE when I turn it on Monday morning. I hope I am wrong. Cool changes, huh? Hope that Ronnie Renfro is involved. "Classic Cool" KQ 1230. Boy, that has a nice ring.

It is not going to be Classic Cool. The time is being brokered out to a group which will operate it from 7AM-6PM. Before the current screen shot on their website indicated talk programming that was going to be along the lines of 'happy talk.' I imagine 6PM-7AM will be international language.

The website appears to be fully back up, although there are advertising and template holes.

I notice that the pictures of Roseann Rogers have disappeared, although her show is still on the program grid.

Listen while you can.  I don't expect this format to last very long.

It is not going to be Classic Cool.

I guess the Ronnie Renfrow programming model went nowhere.  The Classic Cool website seems to be long gone.  However a similar venture, Timeless Cool, seems to be hanging in there: http://www.timelesscoolcustomprogramming.com/index.cfm

Perhaps someone will try something similar to San Antonio's KAHL: http://www.call1310.com/

I do not know who's feed they are running, but perhaps they program it along the lines of KAAM Dallas.

Yes, I was afraid that would be the case. I checked it yesterday as well as today and there was the Baila format running as usual. I wonder what the hold up is? I am interested to see the new format launch. Hopefully it will soon.
