Stereo issue
« on: April 11, 2012, 09:33:34 AM »

I have a Classic Hits station on FM and the stereo effect on some songs is really bad.  It swishes back and forth quickly from left to right channel especially on stereo heavy songs.  I have an Omnia one processory and Harris Transmitter.  Using SS32 Automation.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Not familiar with SS32 automation but is MP3 used?  I have had some issues with the forth or more copies of MP3 files. You might try to run the output of the system to a board, then listen with head phones to the analog audio output of the offending songs. That might tell you if is it the automation or something worse.

It sounds like too much (joint L and R) compression and very fast compression recovery time.

Pure PCM. wav files or compressed broadcast .wav files?

Sound card issues have been problematic also.

Check to make sure your phase is correct.  I would think that "sound effects" would sound rather odd if things were out-of-phase.
