NBC MAY REBOOT "THE OFFICE" THEIR #1 COMEDY (LOL)
« on: April 13, 2012, 07:29:39 AM »

Calling Delta Burke......

Can't they just let this show die and put it out of it's misery. Since Steve Carell left the series has
stunk.

Some of the regulars are even hesitant to re-up. New actors will probably be added.

Delta Burke could open up a hair salon on the same floor.

I guess I'm in the minority.  I miss Steve Carrell, but I think the show is still funny...though perhaps a bit more inconsistent than it used to be.

Ed Helms is great and even James Spader's quirky "Robert California" character is a welcome addition, though I understand Spader is not going to return.

Since its on NBC, any rating third place or better means instant renewal. But it never matched the original Ricky Gervais version for me...hammy acting and try-to-hard humor.

Carell's depature is the reason of the demise of The Office. I haven't watch much of the post-Carell episodes.

I didn't even know there were new episodes of the office without Carell  Cheesy Okay, yes I did, I just honestly have not tuned into a single one since he left.

Carell's depature is the reason of the demise of The Office. I haven't watch much of the post-Carell episodes.

The show was declining in quality a couple of years before Carell's departure- after Jim & Pam wed, and the addition of Erin. While there were a few good episodes (wedding, baby birth, and return of Holly for awhile), in my opinion, the episodes afterwards felt inconsistent in quality and there were more unfunny episodes than funny.  The loss of Carell hurt even more.

It's NBC's most watched sitcom still. Maybe it's going to take NBC moving The Voice (NBC's top show currently) to 9pm Thu in order for 'The Office' to be put to rest. For one season after Friends, The Apprentice got the 9pm Thu hour.
