Especially heartwarming since the Kauffmanns often bad mouth him.  Ask anyone
who works at WDJO.  They have all heard it, mostly from Junior.

I knew that. Its okay. I subscribe to the whole "rubber and glue" thing.....

Roger is a likable guy. I still think he nailed the 60's format. Much more listenable than the Sirius 60's channel.

but "a like able guy".  Ask most anyone else who knows him.   The word
"sociopath" leaps to mind.

It's a real bear getting into an arm-wrestling match with BMI.  Good luck with that.  They have a lot of lawyers with a lot of experience. 

I'm not sure why people on this thread and board have a problem with Roger.  He's an intelligent, hard-working guy who's good to work with.  He and his associates put their asses on the line to keep a format on the air that would have completely disappeared from Cincinnati radio.  Yes I've criticized some of the on-air problems.  But I still give them credit for their efforts and I believe much of the "crap attacks" on here are undeserved and made by people who have some kind of personal axe to grind.

Ouch. Honestly, i've been in a couple of disputes with the music licensing guys. They don't like to extend the proper MLC credits.
Sometimes they don't like to move your license from Blanket to Per Program. Then you fight them and they just sue.
Its been years (1994) but at the time, i had an Attorney on staff. We fared quite well.
Who really knows. Usually, these types of things come in 3s (ASCAP, SESAC and BMI).

Sad to see them hurting financially. Is it lack of ability to sell spots or not being able to control costs that is the problem.
