I do remember WNDR using the Good Guys moniker but the true Good Guys were on WTLB.  WNDR just seemed to use the Good Guys as a liner.  I don't think they ever  really promoted it.  WTLB was owned by R. Straus & the Straus Broadcasting  Group which co-owned WMCA in NYC.  All of Straus's stations were Good Guys. WMCA originated the term Good Guys but I don't think they ever put a copy write on it since stations across the country used the term seemingly at will.  WTLB did the whole deal, Good Guy contests, Good Guy sweatshirts, Good picnic, etc.  The jock shouts all said Good Guy and the pamms jingles pretty much had Good Guys in them. Here's a little bit more about R. Peter Straus - a true "Good Guy" broadcaster.  http://nysbroadcasters.org/history/hall-of-fame/2005-inductees/r-peter-straus/

A little bit more trivia about Straus: He is Monica Lewinsky's step father.

WKWK AM and FM in Wheeling, West Virginia was one of the masses using that brand.

WNDR did have the PAMS "Good Guy" jingles for all the jocks in 1967 and showed all the "Good Guys" on their "Sing-A-Long" survey.  The "Good Guys" were promoted, although not excessively.

In cities with 2 top-40 stations, usually one had the "Good Guys" and the other had the "All Americans", like WNDR and WOLF.

You're not pissed because Jeff Price never got his own jingle, are you?  :-)

I have a couple of those Pams from 1967. Would that put WNDR before WTLB? I am pissed about Jeff Price although I have no idea who he is.
You guys should check out the funnnnnn jingles too.

Hey, "Owner", I was just joking with you.  You must have a short memory... Jeff Price was your air name at WNDR, and I have airchecks from 1987 to prove it!

I've been looking through my airchecks - some 2700 tapes - and so far I've found Brian Ocean at Great Gold 1260,  Brian Hofer for Jim O'Brien on AM only (with Marty Santy doing news), as well as one from WUUU and several from 93Q.  I've listened to the WNDR stuff to verify that the tapes are labelled correctly.

I'm still searching for the Jeff Price aircheck.  Not finding it is driving me crazy, because I just saw it about a week ago.

I'll let you know when I find it and maybe I can e-mail you a 'scoped aircheck.
