Wasn't there talk of Cumulus starting their own traffic service?  Did it ever happen?

No one as mentioned as of yet. I read about it since March when Cumulus is launching "Right Now Traffic" on many stations including this and the Hudson Valley listening area. CC only has "Total Traffic" reports on any of the New York stations. No word on what Cumulus will begin launching traffic reports. I checked any of the Cumulus stations in the HV area like "The Wolf", WPDH and a few others as well as WPLJ and WABC. We shall see if Cumulus will get some traffic reports as soon as it happens.

Cumulus traffic has been mentioned on the Atlanta boards.  Cumulus is starting an all news station here in Atlanta.  Also, they are going to consolidate news operations from many stations across the country into the Atlanta news operation.  Apparently, this has been in the works for a long time because of moving stations to different locations to leave a large space that used to house three stations now will just be the news operation.  I am not sure if the traffic will operate from Atlanta, but it would seem to make economic sense.  Cumulus is all about saving money.
