What will happen to KSEQ (RHY/CHR Q97)?
Buckley just sold KIOO (Classic Rock 99.7)...
GM just left too...
Who are they selling KSEQ to?

Who did Buckley sell KIOO to? Is KHTN 104.7 Merced, with the same Rhythm/CHR format as Q97, which both serve Metro Fresno, for sale also?

They sold it to Groppetti. If they were smart, they would move transmitter for better Fresno metro coverage and go the KOMP,KUPD,KILO way and dump Blazy & Bob....fast.

I always wanted KIOO to move closer to Fresno, they can, but not at Eshom Point, where KFRR, KBOS, KSEQ, KSOF, KFSO, KRDA, and KSJV are at, because of 99.9 in Mariposa and KMAK 100.3 on Bear Mt., maybe Blue Ridge, where KJUG is, and it would be nice to have a station with an Active Rock format the mixes Classic Rock With Current (Real)Rock, like you mentioned like KOMP to replace the loss of KRZR.

Another Format would be a Jack-Fm format or Triple A like KFOG 104.5 SF, if KIOO was to move to serve Fresno, thay would have to change to one of the 3 mentioned formats or something else, Classic Hits, Oldies, and Etc, we already have 2 Classic rock stations.

2 classic rock stations ? IMO,the FOX has been straddling the classic rock/classic hits line for years, time for them to crap or get off the pot on that one. As far as KIOO,how about the 107.1 KHITS format that I was getting into before Dan Thomas Slivensky turned it into another Spanish station, like we really needed that.I would go 70's and 80's and a few of the biggest hits from the 60's.Active rock or 70's/80's hits is the way to go.

Me too!!! I think they should move the transmitter just north of where they are currently just east of 65 and between Strathmore and Porterville. Right where 103.3 and 106.7 KJUG is would be PERFECT, just east of Exeter and north of Lindsay on that big hill. KJUG is only 1,200 watts and it hits Fresno just fine and at the foot of the Grapevine too. With 24k, FOR SURE 99.7 will hit Fresno! and with the extra elevation, maybe Bakersfield. I notice the signal drops off JUST south of Lerdo Hwy. Their current spot now is just too low. That's all.

KIOO 99.7 at Blue Ridge can't be 24k, they would be like KJUG 106.7, in the range of 1,200 watts, which would be the power for a Class B station at that height.

KIOO - 99.7 is NOT going to move --- at least not very far. The 89.3 on Blue Ridge prevents 99.7 from moving any where to the north or to Blue Ridge itself.

What does the frequency of 89.3 have to do with it?
