Dennis was my favorite DJ when I was a teen (I'm 50 now). I loved his radio show. KOME was my favorite station in 1978-1980. I couldn't always get it in Morgan Hill but I listened as much as possible. I even had a KOME shirt and the stickers on my car. Almost everything he said was cool to me back then (because I was young)
In the mid 1990's Dennis was my neighbor, living in the apartment building next to mine in the 3500 block of Bascom in Campbell. Also, his parking space was right next to mine. We talked a little when we crossed paths. My favorite subject with him was The Tubes (my favorite band). I used to always see Dennis at Tubes shows.
Dennis will be missed, but never forgotten by those who heard him.

Dennis Erectus should be inducted in the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame.  He was indisputedly a pioneer "shock jock" in Bay Area radio history.   He approached every one of his shows with an intense desire to make it as entertaining as his last one.  He should be written in this year's ballot.

A sound all his own...Hard to explain to folks just how much he was needed at that time in San Jose/Bay Area Radio...and just how GOOD he was.  RIP Dennis...You were an original.
