Sad I didn't get to see the reunited Beach Boys, but also glad I won't see the watered down version either.

I watched Chicago get pared down to its current line-up. Not pretty.

Got to see Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons at TPAC about three years ago, and while the show was great, Valli was the only original member of the group still with them.  I called them "Frankie Valli and the Four Imposters"!   Grin  Bob Gaudio was there, in the audience.  I only know this because they introduced him.  Brenda Lee just happened to be there, too.

OMG !!!! Mike Love just fired Brian Wilson, Al Jardin and David Marks via e-mail ..amazing. He has to make room to bring his kid Christian Love back in the band plus with his ego there isn't enough stage... Mike Love is a huge part of the Beach Boys, I'll give him that, but after hearing the reunited original Beach Boys in July and Mike Love's Beach Boys 3 three years ago....sorry Mike It's not even close.
Anyone remember Mike Love's side project back in the late '70s that went by the name Celebration?  Why doesn't he bring that name back?  I'm guessing that he owns the name.  Their one minor hit, "Almost Summer," definitely has a Beach Boys sound to it.  I'm guessing that "Celebration" isn't as big a draw as "Beach Boys."  I suppose he could call it "Mike Love and Celebration" or "Celebration featuring Mike Love."

His ego is big, indeed.

Actually I remember the movie better than the song.
