Wasn't it One on One sports, then Sports Fan Radio
just as Sporting News later became Yahoo

One on One sports became Sporting News, then Yahoo. It was Sports Fan Radio Network that JT was on:

I think the original plan for CBS Radio was to use some of their higher profile local shows as part of their national network.  Now it looks like they are putting together their own separate programming.  The Sports Babe was originally going to be the national overnight show.  Now it's DA, and his show will clear in Tampa as well (according to the presser.) I don't know what this will mean for Nancy there, but she's clearly not part of the national network.  CBS had originally said that Boomer and Carton were going to go national, but the network has assembled a new morning show instead.

As far as JT goes, I'd be surprised if he doesn't wind up back on WEEI-FM.

Yes Sportsfan was not the same as SEN/One on One/Sp. News/Yahoo...

Wiki.:

>>The Sports Fan Radio Network was a sports talk radio network that existed from 1996 through 2001, when it abruptly folded. In 2001, however, the network began facing intense pressure from upstart network Fox Sports Radio, which had the major backing of industry giant Clear Channel Communications. Determining that the network could not compete with ESPN, Fox, and One on One Sports, Sports Fan Radio Network began dismantling. Donnellan was immediately fired one week before the Super Bowl, leaving J. T. the Brick as one of the few remaining hosts, hosting two live shifts plus replays throughout the day. The network folded in May 2001, ceding most of its affiliates to Fox.

----------------------------------------------
The entry for Sports Fan says they also had Pete Rose, whom I remember hearing on WRKO (10-mid.?)

Wiki says SEN (Sports Ent. Network) became One on One (93-01) then Sporting News (till '11) and is now Yahoo
whereas, see above, Sports Fan folded and supp. many affiliates went to Fox Sports.

She will probably stay on 98.7 FM in Tampa since DA's show will be on 1010.   Right now 1010 in Tampa (licensed to Sefner) is simulcasting 98.7 (how I wish this station would have stayed Adult CHR) but is supposed to split the simulcast with 1010 running the new CBS Sports Network.

Non-competes in broadcasting are illegal in Massachusetts. The last one of any consequence was Glick's year at the beach, paid for by the boys from Sconnix.

There was never any plan to use any shows from other markets for the weekday schedule.
Entire weekeday schedule, including DA's, will originate live from CBS Radio Sports studios on
the 10th fl of 345 Hudson St in lower Manhattan.

As a KC station goes from comedy to CBS sports it's noted D.A. used to work in K.C.

O.K.

And, for Sconnix, one of the worst deals in the history of the market. For Larry, it was nice score.
