MacFarlane's "Flintstones" Remake All But Extinct
« on: April 30, 2012, 08:45:59 AM »

So, you remember how Seth MacFarlane from "Family Guy" fame got the green light to do a remake of "The Flintstones"? According to a source, the plan is now "on life support."

I hope so. One of the MacFarlane comedies did a smaple of what that would be like, and it wasn't pretty.

Maybe Seth MacFarlane could "syndicate" 'The Flintstones' to My Network TV and help bring back the lost art of first-run weekend shows in the process...

Or maybe we could let the course run out from someone that has tapped the well bone dry.
Imagine it done in a random cutaway if that'll get you laughs.

It was actually a parody of "World's Wildest Police Videos" with a drunk Fred Flintstone fleeing the Bedrock PD.

Yes. To reflect today's times.  Huh I wonder if they would actually use...a rock pad.

Yes. To reflect today's times.

And times between 1966 and today.  Remember the teenage Pebbles swooning over rock star Mick Jadestone on The Pebbles and Bamm Bamm Show?  Or when, on The New Fred and Barney Show, Fred and Barney dressed as half of a modern stone age version of KISS?
