Wink Martindale (WHBQ/1950's) is included in the first class of inductees to the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame (tennradiohalloffame.org).  Induction ceremony is Saturday, May 5th, in Murfreesboro.

That's great for Wink!  I think of him more as a game show host than as a radio guy.  He certainly deserves this honor.

Listened to Wink in SE Arkansas as I was falling in love with radio.  Later had the privilege of working with the man who (I believe) will be doing the presentation of his induction, Jack Parnell, who I also listened to in high school on Q.  Both were examples of why the Q should have obviously been for "Quality."

My sister swears it's no coincidence that the #1 song on the Billboard Honor Roll of Hits the day I was born was Frankie Masters' "Scatterbrain."
